“初心”奠定MIT灵魂的基石。MIT历次大胆创新,实现“初心”的逻辑、机制和路径,正是MIT解决高等工程教育的“痛点”问题:平衡传统与大胆创新两种路径使之并存;以“使命、问题、需求”为导向,使大学-企业、大学-区域之间形成解决问题的逻辑一致性,融合发展;基础研究与产业开发融合创新;教育-创新研究-服务社会融合且高度模式化以确保MIT的价值观和使命得以实现,创造未来。MIT实现“初心”直达巅峰的历程,是现代大学崛起的历史缩影,值得中国“双一流”大学和新工科建设借鉴。
The“original idea”lays the cornerstone of MIT’s soul.Through the logic,mechanism and path of MIT’s previous bold innovation,MIT realizes the“original idea”.It is just that MIT try to solve the“pain points”of the higher engineering education and the higher education:to balance tradi-tion and bold innovation to make them coexist;to guide by“mission,problem and demand”,the uni-versity-industry and university-region should form a logical consistency to solve problems and to in-tegrate development;to integrate the innovation of basic research and industrial development;to in-tegrate the education-innovative research-social service and to be highly modelized;to ensure that MIT’s values and mission being realized and to create the future.MIT’s process of reaching the peak of“original idea”is a historical epitome of the rise of modern universities,which is worthy of refer-ence and reflection for Chinese“double first-class”universities and the new engineering education transformation.
