Verifying the Legislation for the Han Dynasty in Royal Regulations of The Book of Rites:Taking the Ancestral Temple System of the Western Han Dynasty as an Example

《王制》是今本《礼记》中的重要篇目。综合该篇的文本内容与汉代史事,可证明《礼记·王制》文本经过长期的流传演变,最终写定于西汉初期。而从其对西汉中后期礼制变革的影响来看《,礼记·王制》更是反映出一种颇具西汉时代特征的创制性构想,具有明显的“为汉制法”色彩,这尤为突出地表现在西汉时期宗庙制度的沿革变迁之中。

Wangzhi,or Royal Regulations,is an important chapter in Liji,or The Book of Rites.Through the text of this chapter and the history of the Western Han Dynasty,it can be proved that the text in Royal Regulations of The Book of Rites experiences a long-term spread and evolution,and is finally fixed in the early Western Han Dynasty.In terms of its influence on the etiquette system of the middle and late Western Han Dynasty,this chap‐ter reveals a vision of institutional innovation with the characteristics of times in the Western Han Dynasty,dis‐tinctively featuring its legislation for the Western Han Dynasty.This is highlighted in the transitions of the ances‐tral temple system in the Western Han Dynasty.
