TED演讲中第一人称表达的语用身份构建研究

On the pragmatic identity construction for first⁃person expressions in TED talks

语用身份是语境化的、说话者有意或无意选择的自我或他者身份。目前针对第一人称表达构建自我语用身份的研究尚少,本文基于陈新仁的语用身份论,自建小型TED语料库,进行定性和定量分析,阐释演讲者如何在话语中表征和建构自我语用身份。研究发现:演讲者使用第一人称表达的频率为I>we>my>our>us>myself>ourselves,构建了主持人、亲历者、专家、研究者、社会成员、对话者、榜样、倡导者等身份,实现了拉近与听众间距离、激发听众情感、维护听众面子、增强说服力等效果。

Pragmatic identity is a contextualized identity of self or others chosen intentionally or unin⁃tentionally by the speaker.There are currently only a few studies on the construction of self⁃pragmatic identity by first⁃person expression.Based on Chen Xinren's pragmatic identity theory,a small TED corpus is built and both qualitative and quantitative analyses are conducted to ex⁃plain how speakers represent and construct their self⁃pragmatic identity in discourse.It is found that the frequency by TED speakers to use first⁃person expressions is I>we>my>our>us>myself>ourselves,and such identities as host,witness,expert,researcher,social member,interlocutor,role model and advocate are constructed,which have achieved the effects of narro⁃wing the distance between the audience,arousing the audience's emotions,maintaining the audience's face and enhancing persuasion.
