Objective To ascertain the early diagnosis and detection of HIV-exposed infants in Henan Province from 2015 to 2020,and to provide a reference basis for improving the early diagnosis of HIV in Henan Province. Methods This study conducted a retrospective statistical analysis on the result of early diagnosis of HIV exposed infants from 2015 to 2020.Results The sample collection rate increased during the study period. The first collection rate increased from 54.76% to 83.13% within 42 days(χ^(2)=19.46,P<0.05),and the second collection rate increased from 55.56% to 85.81% within 90 days(χ^(2)=7.61,P<0.05).The period from sample submission to result report showed a downward trend(χ^(2)=67.50,P<0.05);During the study period, the mother to child transmission rate was 2.67%,and the mother to child transmission rate decreased from 9.52% in 2015 to 1.81% in 2020.Conclusion The samples submitted for early diagnosis of HIV exposed infant in Henan Province are increased from 2016 to 2020.The sample collection times and the proportion of samples collected corresponding to the age of month are also increased. The time required for sample operation and report issuance are reduced. The above results shows that the regional laboratory for early infant diagnosis of HIV exposed infant established in Henan province runs well.
