Objective This study aimed to test the reliability and validity of Ottawa Self-Injury Inventory-Functions(OSI-F).Methods The demographic information and the OSI-F were assessed among 228 adolescent patients with affective disorder. Results The KMO value was O.811,and EFA analysis suggested that OSI-F indicated four factors, including emotion regulation, stimulation seeking, interpersonal influence and interpersonal boundaries. The above four factors explained 60.793%of the total variances. The internal consistency Cronbach'sαcoefficient was 0.845 for OSI-F,0.731 for interpersonal boundaries,0.846 for emotion regulation,0.889 forinterpersonal influence, and 0.910 for stimulation seeking The correlation coefficient between each dimension and the total table is 0.597-0.721.The confirmatory factor analysis fiting indexes:χ^(2)/df was 1.832,root mean square error of approximation(RMSEA)was 0.061,goodness of fit index(GFI)was 0.879,comparative fit index(CFI)was 0.935,iciemental fit index(IFI)was(IFI)=0.978 and Tucker-Lewis index(TLI)was 0.934.Conclusion The Ottawa Self-Injury Inventory-Functions shows sufficient validity and reliability which can be used to evaluate self-injury function in adolescent patients with emotional disorders.
