目的论视角下国学典籍《论语》的比喻翻译研究

A Study on the Metaphorical Translation of the Analects of Confucius from the Perspective of Skopos Theory

儒家经典之作《论语》,其内容博大精深,言辞文约意丰,在中国传统文化中的地位无出其右。《论语》的显著特点之一是运用大量的比喻进行说理,因而如何有效译介这些比喻十分值得探讨。本文以亚瑟·韦利译本为例,从目的论视角出发讨论和分析韦利译本中比喻的翻译,总结出比喻翻译的具体方法,旨在为增强国学典籍的译介效力提供一定的参考。

The Analects of Confucius,a classic of Confucianism,has a broad and profound content,and is rich in language and meaning,which makes it occupy the highest position in Chinese traditional culture.One of the notable features of The Analects of Confucius is the use of a large number of metaphors for reasoning,so how to effectively translate and introduce these metaphors is worth exploring.This article takes Arthur Waley's translation as an example,discussing and analyzing the translation of metaphor in Waley's translation from the perspective of Skopos theory.By summarizing the specific methods of metaphor translation,this paper aims to provide a certain reference for enhancing the translation effectiveness of Chinese classics.
