Jiuzhaigou National Nature Reserve is situated in the southern Minshan Mountains in the northwest of Sichuan Province.It is a national geopark established to protect geological features such as travertine pools,shoals,and waterfalls,karst hydrological systems,and forest ecosystems.Rich in animal and plant resources,it has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site,a key national scenic spot,a 5A national tourist attraction,a national nature reserve,and a national geopark.
