The Analysis of the Methodological Assumptions in Cognitive Grammar

本文将认知语法的方法论思想归纳为“六个阶段”(观察阶段、数据搜集阶段、理论建模阶段、模型验证阶段、比较阶段和形式化阶段)和“五项原则”(事实性原则、经济性原则、清晰性原则、普遍性原则和预测性原则)。本文认为:认知语法的研究方法实现了经验方法和理论方法的统一、系统方法和分析方法的有机结合、具体分析和抽象概括的有机结合。认知语法的方法论是以辩证思维为指导的、坚持对立统一规律和主客体相结合的方法论。

The paper summarizes the methodological assumptions of cognitive grammar into “six phases”: phases of observation, data collection, theoretical development, validation, comparison and formalization, and five principles, i.e. factuality, economy, explicitness, generality and predictiveness. The methods in cognitive grammar prove to be a unification of empirical and theoretical methods, an integration of systemic and analytical methods and an association of specific analysis with abstract generalizations. The methodological principles of cognitive grammar turn out to be the one with dialectical thinking as its guide, and characteristics of sticking to the law of the unity of opposites and combining research subject with research object.
