Combining relevant excavated artifacts and historical information,the style characteristics and formation reasons of Suzhou embroidery in its origin,development and evolution stages were analyzed from the perspective of disciplines such as archaeology,sociology and fine arts.Suzhou embroidery is a practical style at the origin stage,an appreciative style at the development stage,and a multi-genre style at the evolution stage.The formation of Suzhou embroidery styles at each stage cannot be separated from the combination of social background and embroidery techniques.
