北伐战争时期的中英冲突与灾祸救助——以四川“万县惨案”为例

Conflict and Disaster Relief Between China and Britain During the Northern Expedition War——Taking“the Wanxian Massacre”in Sichuan as an Example

1926年9月5日,中英双方发生冲突,英国军舰炮击四川万县,造成严重的军民伤亡,此一事件被称为“万县惨案”。惨案之所以发生,是英帝国主义在华长期蛮横侵略的结果。惨案发生后,中国各地纷纷发表宣言通电,声援万县惨案,反抗英国侵略,并及时开展救助。“万县惨案”的发生,并不只是一个局部冲突,而是一个重大的外交问题和政治问题。透过“万县惨案”这个个案,以此来窥视民国时期波诡云谲的政治社会状况。

On September 5,1926,there was a conflict between China and Britain.The British warship shelled Wanxian County,Sichuan Province,causing serious casualties among the military and civilians.This incident was called“the Wanxian Massacre”.The tragedy is the result of the British imperialists'long-term reckless aggression in China.After the tragedy,various parts of China issued declarations of support for the Wanxian massacre,resisted the British invasion,and carried out timely assistance.The occurrence of“the Wanxian Massacre”is not only a local conflict,but a major diplomatic and political problem,which is a complex problem involving the British imperialism,the northern warlords,the Kuomintang and the Communist Party as well as the national people's multi-interests.Through the case of“The Wanxian Massacre”,we can see the unpredictable political and social conditions in the Republic of China.
