Investigating media from multi-prospective:the analysis in media ecology approach

麦克卢汉的著名论断“媒介即讯息”让我们第一次直面媒介内容与技术搭建的媒介平台的分离属性。媒介本身的物质性影响、限制、参与媒介内容的生产,甚至对其起决定性作用。从印刷术为王的“古腾堡星系”到电力称霸的“麦克卢汉星系”,再到被称之为“元媒介”的“互联网星系”,当整个传播被统一在软硬件支撑的技术平台上,数字媒介颠覆了人们长久以来对媒介形态的想象,管道变为平台。在这个平台上,传受边界被打破,内容中心被消解,新主体生产消费者出现。数字媒介的技术展示了更强大而复杂的可供性,同时展现了一定程度的自治潜能,平台与用户在相互规训和协商的动态过程中形成共生生态。

McLuhan's famous statement"The Medium is the Message"makes us think over the mutual independence of media content and media platform.The materiality of media itself plays a decisive role to participate in the process of media content production.Different from the"Gutenberg Galaxy"dominated by printing to the"McLuhan Galaxy"dominated by electricity,the"Internet Galaxy",which is called"meta media",unified the whole communication on the digital technical platform supported by software and hardware.The long-standing imagination of media form has been subverted from channels to“platisher”,a platform which not only accommodates content made by constitutional media but also allow users to produce as well as consume.On this platisher,with the boundary of communicators and recipients broken and the content center dissolved,the“prosumer”appeared to be the new subject.Additionally,the technique of digital media,which has presented more powerful and complex affordance,has implied a certain degree of autonomy potential of that the platisher is forming a dynamic symbiotic ecology with ongoing mutual discipline and negotiation.
