从外来方物到皇权象征——在技术传播视野下探析大报恩寺遗址出土琉璃建材 被引量:2

On‘Liuli'from Imported Stuff to Imperial Symbol with the Case Study of the Color-Glazed Materials Unearthed at the Great Bao'en Temple Site

摘要 “琉璃”是一个外来词,表明其本身和与之相关的知识都是从域外传入中国的。琉璃作为外来宝物,其传入中国并发展成代表中国特色的建材,最终为皇家垄断成为皇权的象征。它的发展过程,一方面体现着中华文明的开放和包容性,另一方面也说明,在皇权至上的古代中国,一切外来文化要在中国生存、发展,都必须适应中国文化的特点。 ‘Liuli’(‘琉璃'and‘Liuli'in Chinese characters and Chinese pinyin respectively),a term for the kind of color-glazed stuff imported to China from overseas,is a borrowed phrase that signifies its sources in culture,material and technology.The kind of colorglazed stuff first imported to China as luxury goods got to be used as building material with localized features added,and finally as the special supply only for the royalty to symbolize the imperial sovereign,so,which,in a sense,represents the openness and inclusion of Chinese civilization in practice.Yet,on the other hand,only if the imported culture adapted itself to Chinese-characterized culture could it possibly survive and grew in the historical context where royal power played as the imperial supremacy.
