“凑投”源流考

A Study on the Origins of“Cou-tou”

明清时期江浙地区将“岁时炒豆”习俗称为“凑投”,在方志中还写作“漏凑”“兜凑”“投凑”“凑头”等形式,它们是“凑斗”“斗凑”这一对意义相同的逆序词在吴方言中语音发生讹便并以音近字记录的结果。其中“凑投”由“凑斗”发展而来,又写作“凑头”;“漏凑”“兜凑”“投凑”均由“斗凑”发展而来。在现代吴方言中“凑头(投)”有人物的“相聚、结交”、事情的“碰巧、凑巧”、事情的“顺利”等义。在“岁时炒豆”习俗中,“凑投”表示事情的“顺利”。

During the Ming and Qing dynasties,the custom of“stir frying beans at the beginning of a year”in Jiangsu and Zhejiang regions was referred to as“cou-tou”.In local chronicles,forms such as“missing”,“Dou”,“Tou”,and“Qiaotou”were also written.In the modern Wu dialect,the term“cou-tou”has meanings such as“gathering and making friends”of characters,“coincidental and coincidental”of events,and“smooth”of events.In the custom of“frying beans at the beginning of a year”,the phrase“gather and throw”indicates that things are“going smoothly”.
