作为近代中国伟大教育家之一,蔡元培在长期教育实践过程中,牢牢把握德育主线,开创了中国式公民道德教育体系。在救亡图存的时代背景下,受儒家中庸思想的影响,他借鉴吸收中华优秀道德文明与西方民主文化之精华,独创性地提出公民道德教育之纲领,即“自由、平等、亲爱”,用儒家经典解释为“义、恕、仁”。既吸收了新文明,又坚持了中国独特文化底色,为新时代立德树人目标指明了方向,具有重要的理论意义和实践导向。

As one of the great educators in modern China,CAI Yuanpei firmly grasped the main line of moral education in the process of long-term educational practice,and created a Chinese moral education system for citizens.Under the background of The Times of saving the nation and survival,under the influence of the doctrine of the mean in Confucianism,he drew on the essence of the excellent moral civilization of China and the western democratic culture,and creatively put forward the program of civic moral education,namely"freedom,equality and love",which was interpreted as"righteousness,forgiveness and benevolence"by the Confucian classics.It not only absorbs the new civilization,but also adheres to the unique cultural background of China,which points out the direction for the goal of cultivating morality and people in the new era,and has important theoretical significance and practical guidance.
