Building an Independent Intellectual System of National Security Studies with the Holistic Approach to National Security

总体国家安全观是党治国理政遵循的重要原则,是构建中国国家安全学自主知识体系的指导思想。加强中国特色的国家安全学“三大体系”建设,从根本上说必须以习近平总书记关于“总体国家安全观”的重要论述为指导。把握独立性、综合性和交叉性特征,加强具有中国特色的国家安全学学科体系建设,构建国家安全学的知识体系;把握社会性、实践性和应用性特征,加强具有中国特色的国家安全学学术体系建设,构建国家安全学的活动体系;把握主体性、开放性和时代性特征,加强具有中国特色的国家安全学话语体系建设,构建国家安全学的言说体系。

The holistic approach to national security is not only an important principle upheld by the CPC in state governance,but also a guideline for building an independent intellectual system of national security studies.Basically,this means that we must adhere to Xi Jinping’s important discourse on holistic national security in building an disciplinary system of national security studies with Chinese characteristics by taking into account the independent,comprehensive and interdisciplinary features of national security studies;building an academic system of national security studies by taking into account the social,practical,and applicable features of the national studies;and building a system of discourse by taking into account the subjective,open and contemporary features of the national security studies.
