During the arduous Long March,the Chinese Communists and the Red Army soldiers,upholding truth and ideals,fighting bravely without fear of sacrifice,acting independently,seeking truth from facts,serving the masses,strictly observing discipline,working hard with strong and tenacious will,remaining loyal to the Party and maintaining close solidarity,showed distinctive ideological,practical,working,volitional and political characters,and formed the great Long March Spirit which is very typical and symbolic in the long line of inspiring principles for the Chinese Communists.The great Long March Spirit plays an important role and makes unique contributions to tempering the political character of the Chinese Communists,shaping the Party’s advanced image,encouraging endogenous momentum,preserving red memory,and forming and developing the long line of inspiring principles for the Chinese Communists.On the new Long March to advance Chinese path to modernization on all fronts,we should vigorously carry forward the Long March Spirit and open up a new world where the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics will flourish.
