Self-Assembled Junctions of 2D Single-Layer Semiconductors:A Potential Way toward Advanced Photocatalysis

摘要 Recently,Zhao et al.have reported achieving impressive solar water splitting efficiency,using self-assembled heterojunctions between two-dimensional(2D)near-single-layer carbon nitride nanosheets.^([1])What the authors did not realize was that their optical absorbance and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),as summarized in Zhao et al.:^([1])figure 1,indicated that their 2D nanosheets were free of Fermi level pinning(FLP).
