With the rapid development of China's animal husbandry industry,the scale of animal husbandry is gradually expanding,and related diseases are also increasing.Chronic respiratory disease is a common chronic infectious disease in chicken farming,which can be transmitted throughout the year.It often occurs in the colder winter and spring seasons.Once prevalent,it often presents as an outbreak of infectious disease,with a long treatment cycle and a significant negative impact on the healthy growth and development of chicken flocks.Currently,antibiotics are commonly used for the treatment of chronic respiratory diseases in chickens.However,long-term use of antibiotics can easily lead to the development of pathogen resistance and drug residues in diseased chickens,affecting the treatment effect of diseased chickens and the economic benefits of chicken farming.Traditional Chinese medicine commonly uses natural,toxic,and low residual herbs to treat chronic respiratory diseases in chickens,which can effectively ensure the healthy development and production efficiency of chicken flocks.This article mainly explores the pathogenesis and characteristics of chronic respiratory diseases in chickens,and analyzes the relevant prevention and treatment measures of traditional Chinese medicine for reference.
