Dongmen hybrid eucalypt clone DH299-5 is a new eucalypt variety selected by Guangxi State-owned Dongmen Forest Farm.It was approved by Guangxi Forest Variety Approval Committee in 2012 for its excellent characteristics of fast-growth and high yield,luxuriant branches and leaves,strong disease resistance and trunk shape,neat forest form,etc.DH299-5 is suitable for planting in Chongzuo,Liuzhou,Baise and other places in Guangxi,and has a good prospect of popularization.This paper introduces the breeding process,variety characteristics,clonal propagation technique and efficient planting technique of DH299-5,in order to provide technical guidance for efficient cultivation of DH299-5.
