习近平总书记高度重视中华优秀传统文化在学校思想政治理论课教学中的重要作用,强调要把这些文化瑰宝有效融入学校思想政治理论课教学。作为中华优秀传统文化的重要组成部分,愚公移山精神长期激励着全国人民的奋斗之路,在新时代体现出具有时代价值的当代愚公精神,是新时代共产主义理想信念教育的重要素材,与学校思想政治理论课的教学过程有着天然联系。习近平总书记在学校思想政治理论课教师座谈会上对思想政治理论课的改革和创新提出了“八个相统一”的具体要求。“八个相统一”是建立对思想政治理论课教学规律、学生成长规律、人才培养规律等系列规律的总结基础上,对进一步提升思想政治理论课的有效性,改进不同学段思想政治理论课教学的协调性,开拓思想政治理论课教学的方式方法、理论思路等方面的重要部署,更是愚公移山精神等中华优秀传统文化融入学校思想政治理论课教育的重要框架和实施方略。
