从《嘉业堂刊印书目》看鲁迅购买嘉业堂刻书

鲁迅赴嘉业堂买书被拒是鲁迅购书经历中极为特殊的一次,至于买书被拒的原因,目前学界普遍认为是嘉业堂工作人员的轻慢。中国国家图书馆藏有两册《嘉业堂刊印书目》,其中有为方便读者购买图书而设的购书简章栏目,里面包括图书发售处等相关信息。通过分析其中的信息可知,鲁迅购买嘉业堂图书被拒并非是工作人员的轻慢,而是当时确实是无书可卖,其背后深层次的原因则是刘承幹经济趋紧,嘉业堂刻书事业急剧收缩。

It was a very special occasion in his book buying experience when Jiayetang refused to sell books to Lu Xun.It is generally believed in the academic circle that the reason consists in the contempt of the staff of Jiayetang.There are two volumes of Jiayetang Printed Bibliography in the National Library of China,which contain a book purchase brochure for the convenience of readers to purchase books,including the book sales office and other related information.Through an analysis of some information,it can be seen that Lu Xun’s being refused to purchase Jiayetang books was not out of the above-mentioned reason,but out of the fact that there was really no book to sell at the Jiayetang.The underlying reason was that Liu Chenggan’s economical problem gave rise to a sharp recession of Jiayetang’s book carving.
