The globalization of iron and steel industry has four characteristics,resource,technology,market and human globalization.China′s iron and steel industry has made some breakthroughs in the aspects of iron ore resources acquisition,international engineering contracting and steel consumption market exploration with implementing the"the Belt and Road"initiative.The transnational index of China′s steel-related enterprises is calculated,the current situation of international capacity cooperation in iron and steel industry is summarized,and four characteristics of successful cooperation cases are given.The risk factors involved in the international capacity cooperation of iron and steel industry are identified and analyzed,and cooperation suggestions are given from the perspectives of relevant government departments and enterprises"going abroad".At last,the international production capacity cooperation of iron and steel industry is prospected.
