“篦”《广韵》的反切是边兮切,但在现代汉语中音bi。本文首先论证《说文》新附中的“篦”指的是一种类似簪子的东西,然后排比文献中“篦”的用例,归纳出“篦”的十几种具体用法,最终将边兮切的“篦”的意义概括为“较硬的长条形片状物,先端常呈刃状”。该音义的“篦”在现代方言中还有留存。当“齿密的梳子”讲的“篦(bi)”另有来源,并非来自边兮切。
