The Order of Landscape An Architect’s Practices on the Borderland

把自然化为可居的处所,即是在自然风景中建立生活世界的秩序。对于张鹏举在内蒙古的建筑实践而言,这是一个持续的命题,并因持续性的推进而使其实践突显于当代建筑师群体。从环境的地质自然属性切入,对其实践中事关场地、材料、空间等基本问题的理念与策略展开探讨。指出其在实践中持续的自我反观,以及在地理区域、实践主题、思考语言等诸多面向对所谓“中心”的警惕,和对“边缘”之潜力的自觉,共同塑造了其建筑实践的独特气质与力度。

To transform nature into a habitable place is to establish the order of the living world in the natural landscape.For Zhang Pengju©s architectural practice in Inner Mongolia,this is a constant concern,and the persistent development has made his practice outstanding among his contemporaries.Based on the geological features of the natural environment,this paper discusses the concepts and strategies related to basic architectural issues such as site,material and space in his practices.It points out that the continuous self-reflection in practice,as well as his vigilance of the supposed"center"and awareness of the potentials of the assumed"periphery"regarding geographical region,design topics,and language of thought,has jointly shaped the unique temperament and strength of his architectural practices.
