Discussing the public physical education in higher vocational colleges and the connotative elements of fuctional coupling in national defense education and its the basis of denotation elements,it is to explore the profound reasons that affect the coupling of public physical education and national defense education functions in vocational colleges.It puts forward the path of public physical education and fuctional coupling in national defense education:cultivating patriotism,strengthening national defense awarenee through the spirit of hard work as a carrier so as to promote the military skills of physical education teachers and promoting the improvement of their military sports skills.It gradually builds a politically sound and scientifically trageted national defense physical education system in vocational college.
