Sustainable agriculture is an approach that focuses on environmental,economic and social sustainability in the agricultural production process.The purpose of this paper is to explore the interactive effects between sustainable agriculture and regional economic development.Based first on the core principles and implementation of sustainable agriculture,it then analyzes the positive effects of sustainable agriculture on the regional economy,such as the implementation of sustainable agriculture can improve the quality of agricultural products,increase the added value of agricultural products,improve farmers’income,and create employment opportunities.Finally,the article discusses the role of regional economic development in supporting sustainable agriculture.Only through sustainable agricultural practices can the regional economy achieve long-term sustainable development;and the prosperity of the regional economy also provides markets and resources to support sustainable agriculture.Therefore,governments and relevant stakeholders should strengthen cooperation and develop policies and measures to promote a positive interaction between sustainable agriculture and regional economic development.
