摘要
钢琴作为一种重要的西方乐器,从最早进入上海,到普及至整个中国,迄今已有100多年的历史。钢琴起初是在沪外侨的休闲娱乐形式之一,后来逐渐融入社会教育和大众消费之中。钢琴的传播何以能实现这种“中国化”的历程?又与近代上海的都市生活、文化变迁存在着怎样的联系?本文以《申报》为线索,聚焦晚清民国时期钢琴艺术在上海传播的阶层、媒介、内容、策略等问题,解读其中的社会文化意涵,展现海派钢琴音乐文化的建构历程,以期为当下中国钢琴音乐文化提供某些经验和启示。
As an important Westem musical instrument,piano was first introduced into Shanghai and then popuarized throughout China 100 years ago.At the beginning.the piano was one of the forms of entertainment for foreigners living in Shanghai.Later,it gradually integrated into social education and mass consumption.How can the spread of piano realize the localization in China?How can it be connected with the urhan life and cultural changes in modern Shanghai?Through a study of news stories in Shun Pao,this essay discusses a range of ises related tn the spread of piano in Shanghai during the Late-Qing and Early-Republican Period such as social strata,media,music content,and communication strategy,in a ttempt t interpret its social and cultural implications and shows the construction of Haipai(Shanghai Regional)piane sulture.This essay can hopefully offer some experience and insight to the development of piano culture in contemporary China.
