为什么选择当老师——学生时代老师影响从教选择的机制及启示 被引量:1

摘要 在学生时代受到老师的影响而选择从教,是教师职业选择中一个不容忽视的现象。本研究以中国东部地区沿海城市一个区的全体中学教师为研究范畴,通过环环相扣的三轮研究对这一现象进行剖析。结果显示,学生时代老师的影响是他们选择从教的重要因素。与此同时,这种影响作用发挥背后有一定的规律可循:首先,能够对“我”的职业选择产生影响且指向教师职业的老师,往往都是“我”心目中的好教师,这是影响产生的前提。其次,通过一定的契机,这些“我”心目中的好教师让“我”对教师职业产生了积极的认知,主要体现在职业感知和个人感知两个方面,这是影响产生的关键一环。最后,积极的教师职业认知触发了“我”的从教动机,坚定了“我”的从教信念,使影响得以真正发生。研究也表明,受到学生时代老师的影响而选择从教的那些教师,大多能够薪火相传,在后续的教学工作中更投入,更容易站在学生的立场反刍如何当老师,因而普遍受到学生的欢迎,又成为了自己学生心目中的好教师。因此,我们尤其需要审慎对待并重视学生时代老师的影响对教师择业的积极作用,从源头上为好教师的不断涌现创造可能。 It is a remarkable phenomenon that students choose teaching as their profession due to the influence of their teachers.Taking middle school teachers in a city on the East Coast of China as our sample,we analyzed this phenomenon through three related studies.The results showed that the teachers'influence played a significant role in the career decisions of their students.In the meanwhile,there were certain rules behind the results that should be noted.First,teachers who influence and inspire students to pursue a career in teaching are likely viewed by their students as excellent teachers.Second,these excellent teachers help students generate positive cognition,which is reflected in their career and personal perspectives.Lastly,positive perceptions of the teaching profession may trigger students'motivation and strengthen their beliefs in choosing to be a teacher,which in turn brings about the influence.The results also revealed that those who choose teaching as their profession under the influence of their teachers tend to pass on this spirit from generation to generation.Therefore,we should pay particular attention to the positive influence of teachers on students'career decisions and create opportunities and plaforms for cultivating outstanding teachers.
