唐严公贶、卢淑墓志考略

On the Epitaphs of Yan Gongkuan and Lu Shu’s Tombs

严公贶为唐代中期名臣严震之子、严公弼之弟,卢淑为严公弼之妻。严公贶墓志由时年71岁的柳公权撰文并书丹,是研究柳公权晚年书法艺术的珍贵实物资料;墓志内容补充了严公贶生卒年份、仕宦经历等信息,完善了严氏家族谱系。卢淑墓志由唐款撰文、严公贶书丹。两方墓志所载信息,有助于探讨冯翊严氏、范阳卢氏、河东柳氏等家族世系及其姻亲关系,也为寻找冯翊严氏家族其他成员的葬地提供了线索。

According to recently unearthed epitaphs published in this volume,Yan Gongkuang was the son of Yan Zhen,a famous official in the mid-Tang Dynasty,and a younger brother of Yan Gongbi.Lu Shu was Yan Gongbi’s wife.The epitaph of Yan Gongkuang was composed and calligraphed by the great calligrapher of the time,Liu Gongquan during his 70’s.Therefore,this epitaph not only provides rare information about Liu Gongquan’s artworks but also supplements the understanding of Yan Gongkuang.The epitaph of Lu Shu was composed by Tang Kuan and calligraphed by Yan Gongkuang.The information contained in the epitaphs is useful for exploring the lineage and relationship of Yan,Fan,and Liu families,and provides clues for locating the cemeteries of other members of Yan’s family.
