Rethinking of Normalization of TCM Terminologies

中医药术语翻译规范化是推动中医药海外传播的前提和关键,但目前仍存在两大国际标准尚未实现统一、国内科研人员应用效果不佳、国外教材英译标准亟待统一等问题。鉴于此,围绕中医药术语英译规范化具有的复杂性、动态性和多样性,深入探讨当前中医药术语翻译失范的原因,提出中医药术语翻译规范化的实践路径,包括制定中医药术语英译国际统一标准、建设中医药术语英译国际标准在线查询系统,以及建立中医药翻译的制度规范,以期为进一步推进我国中医药术语翻译规范化实践与理论研究提供参考。

Normalization of terminologies of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)is the prerequisite and key to the cross cultural communication of TCM.However,many problems still exist.The two major international standards of English translation of TCM terminologies are still not achieved.The application among the domestic TCM researchers is not effective.The standard of English translation of TCM terminologies in the foreign textbooks is in great need of being unified.Therefore,based on the complexity,dynamic and diversity of normalization of TCM terminologies,this paper analyzes the main causes of this problem deeply and proposes practical approaches,including constructing theoretical system of translation norm of TCM terminologies,drafting unified international standard of TCM terminologies,developing online query system of international standard of TCM terminologies and establishing institution norms of translation of TCM,with the aim of providing references for the practice and theoretical research of translation normalization of TCM terminologies.
