后疫情时代明德模式高级中文教学理念及新发展 被引量:1

The Concept and New Development of Middlebury Model of Advanced Chinese Teaching in the Post-pandemic Era

摘要 作为沉浸式语言项目“领头羊”的明德中文暑校,其密集教学模式随着时空背景转变而演化出不同版本的“明德模式”。近几年的新冠疫情,再次助推了明德模式的演化。本文回顾了传统明德模式的精髓及教学特点,指出疫情前、中、后,高级中文教学实践所面临的问题和挑战以及所做出的调整。详细分析了内容导向(content-based)、任务导向(task-based)及能力导向(proficiency-based)的高级中文教学如何整合并应用科技工具,以及应用其研究和成果使传统课堂突破时空限制,以全球华人沟通为目标做有机连接,让高级中文教学设计更加个性化、多元化和全球在地化。 Middlebury Summer Language School(Chinese)has been regarded as the bellwether of immersion L2 Chinese program,and its intensive teaching model has been adopted to different temporospatial contexts and evolved into different Middlebury models.In recent years,the COVID-19 pandemic also played a critical role in the evolution of Middlebury model.The present study reviews the core values and pedagogical features of traditional Middlebury model,and identifies the issues and challenges faced and the adjustments made in the practice of advanced Chinese teaching before,during,and after the pandemic.The study also shares several case studies that show how content-based,task-based and proficiency-based advanced Chinese teaching integrated and apply technological tools,and researches and findings to overcome the temporospatial restrictions in the traditional classroom.It further aims to promote the idea of Chinese as an international language which connects the learners to the global Chinese communities,enabling the advanced Chinese pedagogical activities more personalized,diversified and glocalized.
