摘要
语言传播是建构文化认同的重要途径和手段。在文化传播中,人们通过语言学习,获得所学国家的知识,同时也了解其文化,进而建构起文化认同。语言学习动机影响学习者的媒介使用,也会影响其文化认同。本研究通过问卷调查,探究语言学习、媒介使用与文化认同的关系。研究通过对北京、上海、广州1 003名外籍留学生的问卷调查,试图解释在华外籍留学生的人口统计变量、汉语学习动机、媒介使用与中国文化认同之间的内在关系。研究发现:第一,外籍留学生的汉语学习动机(融入型动机、工具型动机、成就型动机)与中国文化认同(中国文化符号、中国文化类型、中国文化情感、中国文化行为)之间影响显著。第二,外籍留学生的汉语学习动机对其媒介使用行为(媒介使用频率、媒介信息源、媒介信任度、媒介依赖度)的影响部分达到显著。第三,外籍留学生的媒介使用在汉语学习动机和中国文化认同之间起到中介作用。第四,外籍留学生人口变量与中国文化认同部分达到显著相关。
Language performs an essential role in the construction of culture recognition and identity.In inter-culture communication,learning of a foreign language enables people to learn about the nation and its culture,from which the identity of the culture of that country could be constructed.Motivations to learn a language can influence individuals selections of medium and identity of culture.In this paper,empirical researches have been conducted among 1003 international students based on Beijing,Shanghai,and Guangzhou,from which the relations between demographic variable,Chinese language learning motivations,media use,and Chinese culture identity are investigated.It is found out that the motivation of international students Chinese language learning(integration motivation,instrument motivation,and achievement motivation)have significant impacts on international students identity of Chinese cultures(Chinese culture symbols,Chinese culture categories,Chinese culture emotions,and Chinese culture behaviors).The motivation of international students Chinese language learning partly have significant impacts on media use behaviors(media use frequencies,media message sources,media reliability,and media dependence).The media use of international students in China have mediated impacts on the influence of their motivations to learn Chinese language on identity of Chinese cultures.The demographic variables of international students in China partly have significant impacts on their identity of Chinese cultures.
