郭沫若在《雅言与自力》中回避对尼采思想的概括,原因并非知识技术的不足,而是对“自力”的强调。以“自力”为中心,《雅言与自力》不仅集中体现了郭沫若对翻译的译法与读法等的态度,还成为理解郭沫若早期翻译思想的切口。作为郭沫若同一人格支撑的不同翻译观点,尽管所受褒贬不同,但实际仍有相互关系。“自力”强调的经验积淀、情感共鸣是“风韵译”的重要实现路径,“自力”需要的研究态度、翻译方法与“媒婆处女论”中郭沫若对翻译研究状况的批评相吻合。

Guo Moruo avoided generalizing Nietzsche's thought in Elegant Words and Self-reliance,not because of a lack of knowledge and technology,but because of his emphasis on self-power.With self-power as the center,Elegant Words and Self-reliance not only focused on Guo Moruo's attitude toward translation and reading,but also served as a cut-off point for understanding Guo Moruo's early translation ideas.The different views on translation,which are supported by the same personality of Guo Moruo,are actually related to each other despite the different praises and criticisms.The accumulation of experience and emotional resonance emphasized by Self-reliance is an important path for the realization of rhyming translation,and the research attitude and translation methods required by self-power are consistent with Guo Moruo's criticism of the state of translation research in the idea of matchmaker and virgin.
