Cause and Countermeasure for Traffic Congestion in Ancient City of Suzhou

距今有2500年历史的苏州古城自古以来便是江南地区的经济文化中心,在快速城市化背景下,协调好古城历史文化保护与现代交通体系发展之间的关系是城市规划亟待解决的问题。阐述苏州古城拥堵问题及其成因,利用问题导向分析,从规划建设、道路设施、交通政策3个层面寻求解决苏州古城交通问题的途径。

The ancient city of Suzhou,which has a history of 2500 years,has been the economic and cultural center of the Jiangnan region since ancient times.In the context of rapid urbanization,coordinating the relationship between the protection of ancient city history and culture and the development of modern transportation system is an urgent problem to be solved in urban planning.By discussing the congestion problem and its causes in the ancient city of Suzhou,and using problem oriented analysis,we aim to find ways to solve the traffic problems in the ancient city of Suzhou from three aspects:planning and construction,road facilities,and transportation policies.
