摘要
研究通过对美国高校图书馆教学馆员岗位的设置和人才需求进行分析和探讨,以期为我国高校图书馆在教学馆员方面的人才招募和培养提供有益参考。选取2021年3月至2022年8月美国图书馆协会招聘网站ALA Joblist以及全球最大招聘网站Indeed上发布的共计138则高校图书馆教学馆员招聘广告,运用内容分析法对岗位基本情况以及任职资格要求进行深入分析。研究发现,美国高校图书馆招聘教学馆员具有岗位设置普及化、岗位职责丰富化、岗位要求技术化的特点,以及教学工作专业化、教学联络深度化、教学环境多样化的背景需求。从就业单位专岗招聘、图情学院专业培养、图情行业协会资源支持3个方面为我国高校图书馆教学馆员的人才招募和培养提出建议。
This study analyzes and explores the positions and talent needs of instruction librarians in American university libraries,aiming at providing useful references for the recruitment and cultivation of instruction librarians in Chinese university libraries.Data are collected from a total of 138 instruction librarian recruitment advertisements published on ALA JobList and the world's largest job recruitment website Indeed.com from March 2021 to August 2022,and the basic situation.of.the posts and the requirements for job qualifications are analyzed in depth by using content analysis.The results of this study indicated that instruction librarian is a common position in the university libraries in the United States.And the role encompasses various responsibilities such as teaching,communicating with a diverse population,and being familiar with multiple technologies.Suggestions are proposed for the recruitment and training of instruction librarians in Chinese university libraries from three aspects:updating library school curricula to meet public demand,acquiring support from library and information professional associations,and employing library professionals.
