To explore the thoughts and behaviors of historical figures from the perspective of text interpretation is limited by the fact that text research can not provide a complete context,because the kinship clique network often affects people′s thoughts and words.For example,Sun Baoxuan′s recognition of Li Hongzhang on the two major issues of harmony between Japan and Russia in Wang Shan Lu diary can not make us conclude that Sun Baoxuan advocates peace.Of course,history is complicated,and kinship clique network can′t be used to explain everything,as can be seen from examples such as the conflicted relationship between Sun Baoxuan and Chen Bi.
