Collision of Traditions:Combined Application of Leather Shaping and Lacquer Work

皮革塑形与大漆工艺皆是经过我国悠久历史传承的传统工艺。二者相结合而产生的的皮胎漆器活跃于历史与少数民族的生活当中。在传统皮胎漆器的制成工艺之外,将二层皮革、环保皮、人工革等新的皮革材料与钢琴漆、腰果漆等新漆质相结合,进行工艺溯源与对比试验,探索皮胎漆器新的设计样貌亦是对传统工艺的继承与发扬。基于对传统工艺的考据和对现代材料的试验研究,开展将各自发展的两种传统工艺进行结合与创新的应用设计探索。

Leather shaping and lacquer are two traditional crafts that have been handed down.The combination of the two has led to the creation of leather lacquerware,which has been active in the history and lives of ethnicminori⁃ties.In addition to the traditional leather lacquer craft,new leather materials such as two-layer leather,eco-leather and artificial leather are combined with new lacquer materials such as piano lacquer and cashew nut lacquer to explore new designs for leather lacquerware.Based on the examination of traditional craftsmanship and experimental research on modern materials,the project explored the application of design that combined and innovatesd the two traditional crafts that have been developed by each.
