Strategies for Driving the Development of High School Students with High Potential for Mathematics

普通高中对数学强潜能学生的早期识别和培养有利于引领学生的志趣,为拔尖人才的后续培养打下坚实的基础。上海市上海中学通过设立数学班,以数学竞赛为平台,在数学拔尖创新人才培养方面取得了丰硕的成果,为国家培养了众多数学人才。学校根据不同层次数学竞赛的特点,针对课堂教学、全国高中数学联赛、冬令营、集训队、国家队培训不同的阶段,制定不同的培养方案,在每个阶段培养学生不同的能力,促进学生的持续提升和突破。

The early identification and training of high school students with strong mathematical potential are conducive to cultivating students’interests,which can lay a solid foundation for the follow-up cultivation of top-notch talents.Through the es⁃tablishment of mathematics experimental classes and the platform of mathematics competitions,Shanghai High School(SHS)has been making remarkable achievements in cultivating many innovative talents in mathematics for the country.Based on different characteristics of mathematical competitions of different levels,SHS formulates different training programs in classroom teaching,National High School Mathematics League,winter camps,training teams,and national team training to cultivate students'differ⁃ent abilities at each stage and promote students’continuous improvement and breakthrough.
