CHINA Zhangjiajie National Forest Park Located in Hunan Province,the park is China’s first national forest park.To protect the many endangered species of animals and plants in the area,the park was designated as a national park in 1982,long before it was of interest to tourists.The most famous of these endangered residents is the Chinese Giant Salamander.This massive amphibian lives in the pools and caves throughout the forest and is strictly protected.
