日本帝国主义发动的全面侵华战争,使我山河蒙辱,人民蒙难。为了中国高等教育的星火相继,浙江大学从西子湖畔辗转数千里至贵州遵义湄潭,历尽艰辛万苦,冒死求真,不忘教育报国,勇攀科学高峰,渡尽劫波,从地方院校蜕变为“东方剑桥”。历史上浙大人的不畏艰辛、求是创新,将永远鼓舞和激励着浙大师生及全国人民“义所当死,死贤于生”!

The Japanese War of Aggression against China has has caused hardship to the Chinese people.In order to continue the higher education in China,the teachers and students of Zhejiang University at that time traveled thousands of miles fromHangzhou to Meitan in Zunyi,Guizhou.Despite many hardships,those people risked their lives to seek truth,never forgot to serve the country through edu-cation,bravely climbed the scientific peak,overcame the crisis,and transformed a local university into“Eastern Cambridge”.Those pe-ople’s spirit of fearlessness,truth-seeking and innovation-pursuing will inspire the teachers and students of Zhejiang University,as well as national people to“die for justice”forever.
