Experience Summary of TCM Master Zhou Xinyou in the Treatment of Liver Cirrhotic Ascites

国医大师周信有教授认为,肝硬化腹水病因乃肝气郁滞日久,致脾肾俱损,气、血、水互结于腹中,肝络瘀阻,津行不畅,发为腹水。强调其病机多属虚实夹杂,具有虚、瘀互为交错、互为因果的病理特征。周教授谨守病机,采用复方多法、综合运用、整体调节的辨治原则,治疗上强调气、血、水同治,以疏肝消积、化瘀利水、扶正培本三法并重,攻补兼施,缓中补虚。临证遣方坚持方从法出、守法守方的特点,疗效显著,发挥了中医药治疗肝硬化腹水多靶点、多途径综合作用的优势。

National TCM master Zhou Xinyou believed that the cause of liver cirrhosis ascites is liver qi stagnation for a long time,resulting in loss of both spleen and kidney,qi,blood and water in the abdomen,obstruction of liver collaterals and blood stasis,and obstruction of fluid flow leading to ascites.He emphasized that the pathogenesis of the disease was mostly simultaneous occurrence of deficiency and excess,with the pathological features of“deficiency”and“stasis”interleaving and causing each other.Therefore,Professor Zhou took a holistic view and adopted the principle of“multiple compound methods,comprehensive application and overall regulation”.In treatment,he emphasized the simultaneous treatment of qi,blood and water,and attached equal importance to the three methods of“soothing liver and eliminating accumulation,removing stasis and increasing urine excretion,and reinforcing the healthy qi to restore the normal function”,with simultaneous elimination and reinforcement,harmonizing the middle-energizer and reinforcing in a deficiency condition.Adhering to the characteristics of“prescription from the law,law-abiding and defending the prescription”,clinical prescriptions were effective,which played the advantages of multi-target and multi-way comprehensive effect of TCM in the treatment of liver cirrhosis ascites.
