Family Education in the Digital Age:Impact of Parental Media Intervention Styles on Young Children’s Exposure to Electronic Devices

随着信息技术的迅速发展,电子产品接触逐渐呈现低龄化趋势,引发了社会及家长的广泛关注。本文以北京市544名幼儿家长为调查对象,借助《儿童屏幕暴露量表》和《家长媒介干预策略问卷》调查幼儿的电子产品接触情况、家长媒介干预方式及二者关系。研究发现:幼儿电子产品接触情况不容乐观;家长对五种媒介干预方式加以应用,其中禁止使用的应用程度最高,建立使用规则的应用程度最低;监管、禁止使用和建立使用规则对幼儿电子产品接触具有显著的负向预测作用,但三种方式对幼儿电子产品接触的影响效果存在差异。由此,提出以下建议:幼儿电子产品接触程度有待改善;借助控制类干预方式能够有效控制幼儿的电子产品接触程度;应充分了解和发挥不同家长媒介干预方式的作用。

With the rapid development of information technology,there has been a gradual trend of increased exposure to electronic products and exposure at younger ages,which has sparked widespread concern among society and parents.The study was conducted with 544 parents of young children in Beijing to investigate their children’s exposure to electronic devices,the parents’media intervention methods,and the relationship between the two,using the Children’s Screen Exposure Scale and the Family Media Intervention Strategies Questionnaire.The study found that:Children’s level of exposure to electronic devices was not a promising situation;parents used all five types of media interventions,with the most-used intervention being banning and the least-used intervention being establishing rules;regulating,banning and establishing rules had significant negative predictive effects on children's exposure to electronic devices,but there were differences in the effects of the three types of media interventions on children’s exposure to electronic devices.The following recommendations are made:The level of electronic exposure for young children needs to be reduced;control-type interventions are effective in controlling electronic exposure of young children;and the role of different parentmediated interventions should be well understood and utilized.
