(P<0.05)。 Objective:To investigate the effectiveness of the Bair Hugger temperature management system in preventing hypothermia in geriatric hip arthroplasty. Methods:One hundred and twenty patients were selected and randomly divided into two.The observation group was intervened with a temperature management system to observe the preoperative and postoperative temperature changes and surgical outcomes in both groups. Results:There was no statistically significant difference in body temperature between the two groups 1h before surgery, after anaesthesia and 30min after surgery(P>0.05).Patients in the observation group had higher body temperature at 20min,40min,1h and after surgery(P<0.05)and less intraoperative bleeding, recovery time from anaesthesia and hospital stay(P<0.05),and a lower incidence of grade III-IV chills after surgery(P<0.05).Conclusions:This temperature management system is effective in preventing intraoperative hypothermia and reducing the incidence of postoperative chills in patients.
