业余研究者的文本描述对项目吸引力的影响——来自公众科学模式的启示

Amateur Researchers’ Textual Narratives on Project Attraction:Insights from Citizen Science Mode

业余研究者发起的公众科学项目占据较大比例。在公众科学项目描述中,发起人可以采用各种语言风格来说服公众参与项目。专注于业余研究者发起的公众科学项目,以亚里士多德的说服三元组为基础,采用深度学习方法,识别公众科学项目文本描述的语言说服风格。以来自公众科学平台Experiment上的476个由业余研究者发起的公众科学项目为语料,分别研究了离散型说服风格和混合型说服风格对公众参与意愿的影响。理论上,揭示了亚里士多德说服三元组在互联网环境下对公众科学模式的影响;实践上,为业余研究者创造有吸引力的文本描述提供了参照,促进了科学传播和科学普及。

A large proportion of citizen science projects are initiated by amateur researchers.In citizen science project descriptions,sponsors can use a variety of language styles to persuade the public to participate in the project.This paper focuses on citizen science projects initiated by amateur researchers.Based on Aristotle’s persuasion triad,a deep learning approach is employed to identify linguistic persuasion styles described in citizen science project texts.Using the corpus of 476 citizen science projects initiated by amateur researchers from the citizen science platform experiment,the effects of discrete persuasion styles and mixed persuasion styles on public participation willingness were studied respectively.This paper theoretically reveals the influence of Aristotle’s persuasion triples on citizen science mode in the internet environment;in practice,it provides a reference for amateur researchers to create attractive textual descriptions,and promotes science communication and popularization.
