摘要
杜威对中国教育产生过深远的影响,这在一定程度上得益于1919年杜威到访中国时,中国社会内部一些特殊的历史状况。首先,因中日间航线的缘由,杜威从上海进入中国。胡适在上海势力有限,这使江苏省教育会从一开始就深度介入杜威访华行程。其次,江苏省教育会自身的理论诉求、改革主张与杜威高度呼应,并且为杜威一行提供了坚实的保障。在中国,杜威的教育理论也主要是通过江苏省教育会传播开去的。最后,同一时期,中国报刊业发展迅速,同人期刊的勃发,更是为杜威教育理论的传播提供了不可多得的平台。这些历史条件共同促成了杜威教育理论在中国的广泛传播。
John Dewey had a profound impact on Chinese education due to complex condition in China when he visited China in 1919.Dewey entered China from Shanghai because it was the only option.Hu Shi's limited influence in Shanghai made Jiangsu Education Association deeply involved in Dewey's visit from the very beginning whose theoretical demand and reform ideas echoed with Dewey and provided guarantee for the visit.The Association also helped to spread Dewey's educational theory.During the same period,the rapid development of Chinese press and coterie magazine also provided unique platform for the spread.
