李白《上安州裴长史书》中“郡督马公”考辨

Textual Research on Prefecture Governor Ma in Li Bai’s Letter to Pei Changshi of Anzhou

李白开元十八年所作《上安州裴长史书》是研究李白生平的重要文献。书中记载,李白此前曾干谒安州都督马公,马公“一见尽礼,许为奇才”。此“郡督马公”之名,目前学界普遍认为即开元十五、十六年出任安州都督的马正会。然钩稽近年新出十一方唐代墓志,参证传世文献,可知马正会实卒开元九年前。“郡督马公”并非马正会,当为马克麾。

Letter to Pei Changshi of Anzhou,written by Li Bai in the 18th year of the Kaiyuan era(730 AD),is an important document for studying Li Bai’s life.It is recorded in the book that Li Bai once paid homage to Governor Ma of Anzhou and Governor Ma received him with great etiquette and praised him to be a genius.It is now generally believed that this Governor Ma was Ma Zhenghui,who was appointed as Governor of Anzhou in the 15th and 16th year of the Kaiyuan era.However,by examining the eleven newly-excavated epitaphs of the Tang Dynasty in recent years and cross-referencing historic records,it can be found that Ma Zhenghui died before the ninth year of the Kaiyuan era(721 AD).Therefore,Governor Ma is not Ma Zhenghui,but Ma Kehui.
