As the highest local chief executive of Eastern Shandong in the Jin Dynasty,the activities of Yidu Prefecture officials are very important for local development.Judging from their appointments,the number of officials selected by Emperor Shizong,Emperor Zhangzong and Emperor Xuanzong was the largest.The native places of those officials were mainly distributed in Qilu area and Yanyun area,especially in Eastern Shandong area.In addition,officials’access to officialdom in Yidu Prefecture in the Jin Dynasty can be roughly divided into six types:conferment of an official rank as inheritance,imperial examination,military exploit,hereditary,appointment,and surrendered officers.Through the overall investigation of the selection and activities of officials in Yidu Prefecture in the Jin Dynasty,the political governance of this place can be further explored.
