近代北庭地区体育运动发展述论

A Review of the Development of Sports in the Beiting Area in Modern Times

随着清末新政在全国推行,近代体育在新疆开始出现萌芽。北庭地区位于南北疆的咽喉地带,是连接内地与新疆腹地的重要通道,自古以来一直是中央和西域灿烂文化的交汇地。正因其特殊的地理位置,体育运动发展相对较快。这一时期北庭地区经历了从“兵式体操”到正式体育的转变,同时促进了新疆整体的体育发展,增强了民众体质,开放了社会风气,体育进一步向大众化、正规化演进,扩展了民众活动空间,促进了卫生等事业的发展,加强了新疆各民族的体育文化交流,有助于铸牢中华民族共同体意识。

With the implementation of the New Deal in the late Qing Dynasty throughout the country,modern sports began to sprout in Xinjiang.Located at the throat of northern and southern Xinjiang,the Beiting area is an important passage connecting eastern areas of Jiayuguan pass and the hinterland of Xinjiang,and has been a meeting place for the splendid cultures of the central and western regions since ancient times.Because of its location in the core of Xinjiang,sports were developing relatively rapidly.During this period,the Beiting area experienced the transformation from“military gymnastics”to formal sports,and at the same time promoted the overall development of sports in Xinjiang,enhanced the people’s physique,opened up the social atmosphere,further evolved sports to popularization and regularization,expanded the space for people’s activities,promoted the development of health and other undertakings,strengthened sports and cultural exchanges among all ethnic groups in Xinjiang,and helped to forge a strong sense of the Chinese national community.
