Bridge engineering is very important to the appearance of the city and transportation planning.However,there are still many problems and shortcomings in the current bridge construction.The quality of some bridges even brings prop-erty and safety problems to people.Therefore,in order to improve the quality of bridges and extend their service life,it is necessary to strengthen bridge design.The article elaborates on the basic principles of structural design and reinforcement of municipal road bridges,analyzes the problems existing in municipal road bridges,and proposes methods for structural design and reinforcement of municipal road bridges,in order to provide reference for related work.
