Many distinctive costumes have appeared in the history of women's dress in China and the West, which reflect the differences in women's perception of beauty within different cultural systems, and these differences in turn reflect national cultural connotations and deeper cultural essence. From the perspective of gender aesthetics, this paper takes high-soled shoes in the Qing Dynasty of China and high-heeled shoes in the Rococo period of France as research objects.By exploring the relationship between the popularity of high-soled shoes and high-heeled shoes in the eighteenth century and female gender aesthetics, this study aims to find out the promoting role of Chinese and Western women's physical attire in the development of female aesthetics in the eighteenth century and serve as a reference for contemporary feminist aesthetics research.
